Solution: What it takes to set India's problems?

Someone long back said, give me 10 journalists of great accumen & credibility, I would set the country on the right track. But, my views with changes in generations, would extend it to a few more points.

As everyone says: It should be 360 degree sustainable growth. When I say 360 degree, it should be thought from a view as if you are in that situation of common public. Unfortunately, it just doesn't work well while communicating the same. Hence, the following...

My views are simple.
1. Control news channels not through censorship but through strict guidelines. No media channel would comment / conduct public hearing OR mass kangroo courts on their channels for the sake of TRPs. Infact, TRPs should be banned.

2. Finance - monitor the illegal flow of huge monies. Ban Participatory notes. Currency should be strictly monitored. I don't mind if its the earlier Quota system on what 'flows out'.

3. Expand Commerce with East Asian countries - our extended neighborhood. Enough of looking West. Now, look East.

4. Army - home grown Military equipment purchase should be expedited. Its something thats neglected far too long. Even LTTE had Howitzers before we bought Bofors. Even theirs is an individual ones. Can't we make being such a big country? Of course, we have talent & resources.

5. Judiciary - From SC to Sessions court, complete independence should be granted to prosecute even Prime Minister or even President. Equality of citizens should not be limited to letter. Should also be extended to spirit.

6. New Courts & Jails should be constructed on a war footing to try ONLY corruption related cases.

7. Interstate disputes should be nationalized. Like: Water disputes & power or anything that fits a proper guideline. I leave that to experts.

8. All Parliamentarians should be elected by the people. No matter what. If they are not elected, they can't hold any posts - this includes appointed MPs. If they are appointed, they can only voice their opinions in Parliament when in session. (Target: MMS)

9. Anyone charged with criminal background should be strictly not allowed to enter Parliament - whatsoever.

10. Not the least, Corruption should be a punishable with death.

Again, if journalists can avert a trans-atlantic war, why can't they be reigned in India? Give me 10 of them, I would change the country. They are force multipliers, not destruct the country. Let experts decide.

Disclaimer: These are just an overview. Will follow-up on the exact details (again overview) in my following posts.
